Menu of September

Go to JAPANESE Ver.

In Slovak, the winter season is so long that they cannot easily get fresh vegetable. They even hardly get fresh fish because the country does not face to the sea. That means people tend to eat much meat. Among young people, vegetarians seem to be increasing considering their health. This time, let's try on healthy items which are available in winter. Potato, cabbage and mixed vegetable. Chicken and dessert will accompany today as we staff members are all slim(!?)

Vegetable soup

Soup made of mixed vegetable and onion. Tastes rich.

Potato rolls, cabbage with baked chicken breasts

Fried potato dumplings and steamed cabbage. Baked chicken breast may accompany if you like.

Pancakes filled with almond cheese

Sweet pancake filled with almond cheese. Liquor tastes are good.

We didn't have much rain this autumn in Japan. It was good for us to go outdoors to see red leaves. While we enjoy our autumn season, in Slovak, it already snowed in the beginning of October. Jela said, "In Japan, autumn season is very romantic with autumnal tints. In Slovak, autumn is so short that leaves fall down from trees without turning to red. Autumn reminds me of the smell of burning leaves." Jela seems to like autumn season in Japan. Autumn colored flower arrangement as well! Based on yellow and orange flowers, white roses shined. We are closing to the chilly season that may not be much pleasant. But Slovak people are likely to know how to enjoy long winter with Christmas events and sports. We look forward to seeing how they decorate the ambassador's residence for Christmas!
